1 year, 160 birthdays

 

SONY DSC Though it has been just one year since they started work in Beamsville, the Lincoln Midwives have already celebrated 160 birthdays. The association of six midwives has helped bring that many new babies into the world since they opened their Beamsville office in October 2012. The group is a sister organization to Niagara Midwifery in St. Catharines. Pilar Chapman, one of the founding midwives, said they  have long recognized a need for more localized support throughout the region.“We created this sister group here to address the need that was here, so that women could have midwifery care in their home community,” said Chapman.
